IMW On Demand
Our Indigenous Mapping Workshop training is available online!
IMW On Demand offers culturally appropriate and inclusive training in geospatial technologies for Indigenous leadership, agencies, and communities. This initiative supports Indigenous rights and interests without the need for travel.
Our platform provides an excellent opportunity for learners to access expert-created, mapping training from the comfort of their community. It hosts content suitable for participants of all tech abilities and offers workshop sessions on various platforms and mapping software.
How Does It Work?
IMW On Demand is built on Open edX, a software used to deliver online courses. While the training is free, the content is gated and can only be accessed by accepted applicants.
Term Dates
IMW On Demand runs on a term system, with four terms each year. While you will be able to complete your studies at any time, from anywhere – you will need to complete all courses within the enrolment period to graduate.
Who Can Apply?
IMW On Demand is specifically for members of, or people working directly with, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and/or organisations across Australia.
Take a look at our academic calendar for important dates.
A complete printable calendar of enrolment dates and term closers can be downloaded via our Resources page.
